Week 4
The multimedia that I will use in my classroom is interactive storybooks. I really like the PBS Kids interactive storybooks. A computer will be set up in my classroom as a work station. The students will actively listen to the story as it is read. I really like the phrases being highlighted as they are read. This will help children practice phrasing to become more fluent readers. Also, the video clips about vowels that are available at this website are awesome. I will definitely use these clips to introduce and reinforce vowel sounds.

Interactive storybooks are a really neat addition to the classroom. It's presents a different element and helps break up some of the "routine" in many classrooms. Plus, the kids always seem to enjoy getting to interact during storytime. It's a great way to involve them in their learning process.
